Meridian Architecture are able to offer a range of multi-disciplinary design services that meet the clients' project needs.
We can produce high level concept schemes, feasibility reports, outline planning applications and concept visualisations. Design proposals for full planning approval, detailed designs for building control / NHBC approval and working drawings for construction on-site which are all modelled in a 3D BIM environment.
Meridian Architecture is a chartered architectural practice and we are registered with the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.
Building Information Modelling is fast becoming the industry standard. BIM Level 2 is already a requirement for all government funded projects from October 2016.
All of our projects are BIM Level 2 compliant as standard; modelled in 3D allows us to better coordinate services and phasing, enabling us to detect clashes before projects get to site. Better co-ordinated drawings also help provide cost certainty and project delivery.
Our 3D images also help at the planning stage, enabling clients to better visualise proposals and fully understand the effect on the existing building environment.
We use a suite of software designed to provide BIM compliant projects.

Through our understanding of procurement procedures, Meridian enjoy working with clients in the preparation and submission of tender packages, advising on the required contractual documentation and key design information. We believe that nurturing a collaborative working relationship between all parties ensures successful project design and delivery.
Architectural design and technology is continually evolving for the improvement of the built environment and the wellbeing of society. At Meridian we maintain our knowledge and expertise through RIBA accredited CPD seminars (Continued Professional Development) to ensure that our clients receive an overarching design service which is synonymous with technical design and construction expertise.
Architectural design quality and technical expertise deserves to be delivered professionally and diligently, on time and on budget. Setting up the contract, monitoring site progress and certifying the project at each key stage is fundamental to the overall success of a project. At Meridian we can provide a contract administration service in conjunction with architectural design work or as part of a separate scheme, to ensure that the contract is managed, monitored and certified, through proactive and responsive communication with our clients.
In taking the role as Contract Administrator, we will also co-ordinate the design information, advise on proposed design changes, oversee the construction programme and monitor tender agreements and cost control. Following project completion, we will ensure that relevant design information, statutory certification from Planning and Building Control and health and safety certificates are included within the client’s Operation and Maintenance Manual.
